I have been exhausted over the last few weeks. The heat here may be contributing a lot to it. Although I have a functional, (and very new), air conditioner, when the temperature outside breaks 100, creeps past 110, and even toys with touching 117, it feels very oppressive. The ground heats up. Water comes into the house, HOT, because the lines coming into the house are hot. Portions of the house feel like an oven is on. In all, it’s hot.
What am I going on about? I don’t even remember what this post was supposed to be about.
I want to create things, either record or write, but being constantly tired is definitely an uphill climb to get over.
Also could be the depression.
Okay, back on track. So this weekend was spent mainly on chores and errands and by Sunday afternoon I’m listless, bored, and annoyed. So I went for a walk.
I found an open house in my neighborhood and decided to check it out, on the off chance that I could maybe get a free donut, or free soda. The house was a beautiful two story, five bedroom house, with mini golf and koi pond on the back yard. The living room had a Pin-Bot pinball machine and one of those arcade cabinets that had hundreds of games on it (I’ve had my share of building these multi-cades). In the hallway and upstairs were a bunch of frames art pieces and I could tell they were all from someone in the family. The owner of the house, the mom, was there to tell me all stories of her family, raising kids in this house over 47 years, and lots of proud stories of their accomplishments.
Seeing those pieces I just had to remind myself to keep making stuff.
So I finished the draft of another blog and started this one.
This last week, for fun, I’m following a YouTube video that is giving the basics of making games in Unity. So I think I’ll finish that video and the game we were working on. Maybe I’ll work on the Samantha album that I’ve put off for the moment.
